Trump found guilty on all charges
This Thursday former President Donald Trump was unanimously found guilty on all felony charges at the hands of a New York jury and court.
The case centered around the claim that Trump falsified business records to cover up the bribe of adult film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of his 2016 election, a story that eventually came out to the public anyway.
This ruling makes Trump the first former president to be indicted and subsequently convicted in a criminal trial. However, sentencing will not occur until July 11, set by Judge Juan Merchan.
This means that Trump will have to undergo his sentencing 4 days prior to the GOP Convention, painting an uncertain future for the election hopes of the political party.
Due to the unprecedented nature of the trial and its context, it is unclear what to expect going forward, as Trump is still to undergo three other criminal trials, two focusing on the withholding of federal documents and the other having to do with election interference in Georgia.
Going forward, all eyes will be on how these cases continue to develop as well as the public statements made by every party involved.
