Top Five Moments from Royal Rumble 2025
The Road to Wrestlemania has officially begun within the WWE, with the 2025 Royal Rumble concluding. This year's edition was jam-packed with exciting moments and huge spots.
There are so many great moments from this year, but let’s break it down into the top five best moments from the Royal Rumble 2025
5. The Return of Alexa Bliss
In the weeks before the Royal Rumble, it was reported that Alexa Bliss was set to return to WWE television soon. Then, sites backtracked and reported that WWE and Bliss were far apart on a contract and she wouldn’t be returning soon.
But to the fan’s surprise, Bliss showed up at number 21 in the women's Royal Rumble to one of the loudest crowd pops of the night.
Bliss put on a solid showing, lasting over ten minutes before being eliminated. It appears she will be back full-time, either on Raw or Smackdown, in the foreseeable future.
4. Jacob Fatu’s Dominance
The Samoan Werewolf has been on a tear since he came to the WWE last year. Jacob Fatu made his debut in the Royal Rumble this year and was incredibly fun to watch. Fans got to see faceoffs with some of the WWE’s other premiere superstars, including the OTC Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker.
Fatu would collect multiple eliminations before being eliminated by rival Braun Strowman late in the match. The future is bright for Fatu, and his performance certainly turned the heads of the average WWE fan.
Speaking of turning the heads of the average WWE fan…
3. Speed Enters the Rumble and Gets Speared
YouTube sensation IShowSpeed came to the Royal Rumble and live-streamed his appearance. Everything seemed normal until Speed entered the gorilla position backstage. As Akira Tozawa would enter the rumble, he would be blindsided by Carmelo Hayes and would not officially enter the match.
The funniest sequence of the night would then ensue.
After it was determined that Tozawa would not be able to compete, Triple H sent Speed out in his place. Speed rushed down to the ring and picked up an elimination by helping Bron Breakker throw out Otis.
After celebrating and landing a backflip, Speed received one of the hardest spears of all time from Breakker and was eliminated shortly after.
2. John Cena, CM Punk and Roman Reigns Face Off
This moment within the Royal Rumble brought out the inner child in almost every viewer.
Cena, Punk and Reigns are some of the most popular wrestlers over the past decade. These three men faced off in the rumble in one of the coolest rumble sequences of all time.
The OTC would enter at 16, and when John Cena entered his final rumble at 23 the ring cleared out to allow them to square off.
But before they could throw down, CM Punk entered at 24, creating a viral faceoff. Though none of these men won the Royal Rumble, this moment flashed back to many viewers' childhoods.
The distinction of winning the Royal Rumble would go to this man.
1. Jey Uso Wins the Royal Rumble
When John Cena and Jey Uso looked at each other face-to-face as the final two in the Royal Rumble, almost every fan thought Cena would be headed to the main event of Wrestlemania. But as fate would have it, Cena would not win the Royal Rumble.
After a flurry of attacks, Cena and Uso both ended up on the apron. After an exchange of punches and superkicks, Cena hoisted Uso on his shoulders for an Attitude Adjustment. But as he lifted him, Uso slipped over the rope and pushed Cena to the floor.
Uso created one of the most unpredictable moments in WWE, and the entire arena serenaded him with chants of “yeet.” Uso now heads to Wrestlemania to challenge for the world championship.
