Top 5 UFC 300 moments

By Carson Schuler

In the wake of the greatest UFC event in the sport’s history, I wanted to look back at what I considered to be the top five moments of the night,

No. 5: Renato Moicano post-fight interview

After being knocked down at the end of the first round, Jalen Turner made a huge mistake showboating and not going for the finish. Moicano completely took advantage of Jalin Turner’s cockiness and in the last minute of the second round, knocked Turner down and finished with a TKO.

His post-fight interview was spectacular, he first started by stating his love for the First Amendment. He also urged people to read Ludwig Von Mises and the six lessons of the Austrian economic school.

No. 4: Arman Tsarukyan escapes the choke to end the fight.

Tsarukyan looked like he was in control of this fight except for at the end of round one and round three.

He demonstrated his submission defense and grappling technique against one of the best grapplers in the division to survive the end of the fight. Oliveira must've thought he had a tight choke based on the look of his face, but Tsarukyan triumphed via a split decision.

No. 3: Diego Lopes KO’s Sodiq Yusuff.

Lopes made quick work of Yusuff KO’ing him within the first 90 seconds of the fight, surely earning him a ranked contender for his next fight.

No. 2: Jiří Procházka TKO Aleksandar Rakić

Earning him a performance of the night bonus, This fight was my personal favorite of the night and it looked from my perspective like Rakic was on his way to win the fight, but Jiri fought through the adversity and got the TKO.

No. 1: Max Holloway KO’s Justin Geathje with one second left.

Hearing this awesome KO from referee Marc Goddard’s perspective is not something I think we've ever got to see, and this KO will probably go down as one of the greatest moments in UFC history.
