“Deadpool & Wolverine” is now streaming, and with that, here are the five best moments in the movie:

5. Deadpool interviews to become an Avenger

This is one of the few moments in the movie where we see Wade Wilson act in a somewhat serious manner. During the interview with Happy Hogan, there’s a vulnerability in Deadpool’s desire to be an Avenger. Despite the humor, the scene reveals Wade’s struggle with acceptance—wanting to be seen as more than a comic relief antihero. The concept of an interview to become an Avenger is funny, but it’s Deadpool’s introspective moment that hits home, adding unexpected emotional weight to the chaos around him.

4. The Chris Evans cameo

This is the best example of subverting expectations in a good way. When Chris Evans shows up, you expect a Captain America appearance, capped with an “Avengers, assemble!” But instead, you hear “flame on,” as the Human Torch from “Fantastic Four” makes a surprise comeback. This playful twist brings together Evans’ roles in a way that’s pure Deadpool-style meta-humor. The payoff comes during the end credits, when we learn Johnny Storm did actually say all those things, confirming Deadpool’s outrageous storytelling.

3. “Bye Bye Bye” opening scene

From the very first beat, you know you’re in for a wild ride. The opening scene’s use of NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” blends absurdity and violence in classic Deadpool fashion. Watching Deadpool dance his way through TVA agents while using Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton as a lethal weapon, is both brutal and hilarious. His spot-on dance moves from the original music video are a fun touch—and they’ve already taken over TikTok. This instantly became one of the most unforgettable and entertaining openings in any superhero movie.

2. The Wolverine finally puts on the mask

This is the moment fans have been waiting for. Just before the showdown with an army of Deadpool variants, Wolverine finally suits up in his classic comic-accurate costume—mask and all. After it seemed like Hugh Jackman was done with the character, it felt impossible to see him in this iconic outfit again. Fortunately, he was brought back to wear the costume, and the payoff is worth it. The scene becomes even more epic with Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” playing in the background, adding an oddly fitting vibe to the battle. This moment marks Wolverine's full embrace of his identity as a hero while serving as a tribute to the X-Men he let down in his universe.

1. Saving the universe finale

The finale is packed with emotional stakes, as both Deadpool and Wolverine fight each other to be the one to make the ultimate sacrifice. Despite the movie’s chaotic nature, the weight of the scene is undeniable, especially with the choir version of “Like a Prayer” enhancing the emotion. Flashbacks of each character’s journey are interwoven into the action, providing a look back at their struggles and growth. The tension and sacrifice are real, making this the ultimate payoff for fans of both characters. This scene perfectly wraps up the action on a high note, making you care deeply for the characters, even though the movie rarely takes itself seriously.
