Top 10 ways Lebron James could score his 50,000th point
After his game against the Los Angeles Clippers, forward LeBron James reached 49,999 points, one point shy of another massive milestone in his career.
With James and the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow night, here are the best ways the King himself could reach this mark.
No. 10 Free Throw
Easily the most boring way this could all unfold. Although the anticipation would be through the roof while James is at the line, there are much better ways history could be made.
No. 9 Logo Three
Logo LeBron has come out from time to time, and we could see him again for this special moment. A pull-up three from deep would be a moment to remember and iconic amongst some of the stars' other long-range shots.
No. 8 Self Alley-Oop
Imagine James on a breakaway, throwing the ball off the backboard to himself before slamming it into the hoop. It gives me chills. An emphatic dunk like this would be flashy and amazing to watch from the 40-year-old veteran.
No. 7 Full Court Heave
Barely any time on the clock with only the chance to throw the ball down the court with a prayer. If James were to nail a shot like this for his 50,000th point, it would be ridiculous. However, for this to be the shot that makes history, James would likely have to not score till the end of a quarter, which is highly unlikely.
No. 6 Game Winner
Again, highly unrealistic, as for James to go the entire game without scoring until the final shot would be insane. However, it would make for one of the most electric moments in basketball history if it were to happen.
No. 5 Posterizer Dunk
Snapping back to reality, it would be realistic and exciting for James to dunk on someone for this career moment. Dunking on someone like 6-foot-11 center Kelly Olynyk would be pretty impressive and for sure would have filled the crowd with excitement.
No. 4 Signature Fadeaway
The same move that allowed him to become the all-time leading scorer, passing hall of famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I could see James returning to this move to reach another milestone in his career, even if it seems repetitive.
No. 3 Signature Dunk
A Tomahawk dunk would feed families if it were to be the move used to notch this moment in history. We have seen the move thousands of times, but this one would be extra special.
No. 2 Dwyane Wade to LeBron One Last Time
Before we get to number one, I want to take a moment to create possibly the greatest piece of unrealistic cinema the NBA will never see.
Dwyane Wade, the former teammate of James, coming out of retirement for one last game just to recreate that iconic dunk from their days on the Miami Heat.
This will forever only be a dream, but a great one that will live in my mind forever.
No. 1 Bronny Assists his Dad.
This one goes without explanation. For this to be the way James obtains this substantial bucket would be a dream come true for the father and son pair. We can only hope that this is how it all unfolds.
