THON 2024 Logo Reveal
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Multi-Sport Facility on Penn State’s campus was filled with about 300 THON volunteers, students and Four Diamonds families to celebrate the THON 2024 logo reveal.
The logo was revealed during THON’s annual Family Carnival: a day dedicated to making bonds with Four Diamonds families through playing games at various booths, watching performances on stage and catching up with individuals involved in THON in the ‘food court.’ On Dec. 3, from 11:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. laughter and kids’ running around filled the Multi-Sport Facility and concluded with the public being invited for the first reaction of THON 2024’s logo.
Sarah Leonard, a second-year majoring in graphic design, created the logo that matches this year’s THON theme: “Treasure Every Adventure.”
After introducing each THON captain director, Leonard spoke about her inspiration for her mock-up that captures a child riding a dragon.
Gabby Lisanti, a fourth-year security and risk analysis major, who is a THON Family Carnival Captain helped put the whole day together.
She has been planning this day since last May with her co-captain.
“It’s so sad to see it come to an end, but I’m so excited to see the logo reveal transition,” Lisanti said.
Around 4:45 p.m., the logo was displayed over the stage with all the captains, families, volunteers and students cheering, taking pictures and heading over to the merch booth to purchase tee shirts anticipating THON Weekend 2024.
THON Weekend will take place in the Bryce Jordan Center from Feb. 16-18 where volunteers participate in a 46-hour dance marathon.
