Opponents of Turkey's recently passed "disinformation law" claim the law is a thinly veiled attempt to censor opposition by limiting free speech in social media, the internet, cinema and journalism; hindering opposition to anything originating from the government of Turkey's ruling conservative party and in some cases making opposition criminal. Olivia Estright spoke with journalists, protesters and others about the state of free speech in president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Turkey.
