Singers That Should Be Nominated For A Grammy

Big Time Rush

Since 2011, Big Time Rush has consistently been robbed at the Grammy Awards. They have not even had the courtesy of attending the event.

In 2023 they released their fourth studio album, “Another Life.” This album changed their discography tremendously.

They went from being a children’s television-created band with a focused demographic on young girls, to exploring a much wider audience.

Featured on their newest album are bangers like “Weekends” and “Ask You Tonight.”

Awards that they could have potentially won would have been album of the year. Obviously they would have been going neck in neck with Taylor Swift, and it so hard to say who would have come out on top.

A band willing to get back together and put in the work to create a new album after 10 years deserves more recognition and more specifically a Grammy. -Savannah Swartz

Andrew Barth Feldman

After the finale of the Grammy season, it is obvious that some singers were snubbed of their awards or even their nominations. There are lots of well-renowned singers that fall into this category, but I’m thinking of someone more personal and upcoming in the industry. The man, the myth, the legend: Andrew Barth Feldman.

If you haven’t seen “No Hard Feelings” literally stop reading this article and go watch it. As a woman with two functioning X Chromosomes, when Feldman sang “Maneater” something changed in me.

I honestly cannot put into words what that song has done to me, so I would rather like to admit my actions. I learned it on piano, I made it my top song of December (thankfully Spotify doesn’t track that month) and I even showed the scene to my mother.

Why am I admitting this? I recently learned that Feldman released an album in July of 2023. The album is titled “Penn Station,” and in my raw and honest opinion this album might be the greatest work of art my ears have ever heard.

Obviously his work on “Maneater” should’ve been nominated for a Grammy, but his performance on this album deserved the entire award show.

If there's something I am, it’s obsessed with obscure things. Feldman is now one of them, and I’m not hiding. If Feldman does not win a Grammy in the next 3 years, please know that it will become an inside job and I will get him on that stage. -Grace Bowman
