Shows that deserve another season: "Lockwood & Co."

This British supernatural series rose to the number one slot on Netflix after its Jan. 2023 release, yet was canceled by Netflix after its first season. The fantasy drama takes place in an alternate reality of present-day Britain where killer ghosts have been rising from their graves for over 50 years.
While adults are unable to see the ghosts, children can. As a result, teenagers are recruited into licensed ghost-hunting agencies to detect and dispose of the ghoulish threats. The series follows Lucy Carlyle, a gifted “Listener” - someone who can hear supernatural sounds and voices - played by the talented Ruby Stokes after a ghost-hunting tragedy forces her to run away from home.
When Lucy arrives in London, she applies for a job at Lockwood & Co., a new psychic investigations agency run by Anthony Lockwood, a sophisticated teen orphan played by Cameron Chapman. After Lockwood is impressed by her abilities, Lucy gets the job.
Lockwood’s best friend, George Karim, played by Ali Hadji-Hestmati, is in charge of the agency’s research and was kicked out of a nearby prestigious agency for asking too many questions about why ghosts are rising from their graves.
This chaotic trio creates the perfect dysfunctional ghost-hunting agency, compelling audiences to join them as they descend into the complicated world of the supernatural through their treacherous adventures.
Although Netflix canceled the series after the first season due to declining viewing figures for the show, the cliffhangers left audiences begging for more. Recently, fans have been trying to get other streaming services to pick it up and have even created a petition.
With amazing actors, eight action-packed episodes and a truly paranormally marvelous score, Lockwood & Co. is a great Netflix series to binge. - Sarah Taylor
