“Survivor” Season 47 Episode 3

After last week’s blindside of yet another strong contender, this season of “Survivor” is definitely delivering some satisfying episodes.

The episode starts with the Tuku tribe reflecting on the last tribal council and sending TK home. Sue takes it personally that Kyle voted for her and declares she will never work with him in the future.

Over in the Gata tribe, Anika and Sam are officially butting heads about camp life and fighting each other to become the group leader. Meanwhile, Andy tries to bounce back from his rough start and goes to talk to Sierra about joining her alliance with Sam. He offers her his 'Shot in the Dark,' exactly the kind of promise Sierra needs to trust him.

As usual, Rome can’t help but boast about his triumphs and abilities over at the Lavu tribe. He takes control of all the fishing gear and declares himself the "best fisher," even though no one else has really had a chance to try. It’s clear that the rest of the tribe isn’t enjoying his company.

Back at Tuku, Gabe wants to align with Kyle because he believes Kyle’s loyalty is something he’ll need in the long run. Gabe suggests voting Tiyana out next, but Kyle isn’t on board, even though she technically blindsided him. Kyle tries again with Sue and Caroline, but Sue takes her vote personally and isn’t interested in game talk with Kyle at all.

A boat arrives at each tribe, and they have to send one person on a journey: Kyle for Tuku, Anika for Gata, and Rome for Lavu.

Rome wins rock-paper-scissors for his tribe, which is the only reason they’re okay with him going. Meanwhile, Anika and Kyle volunteer and are quickly agreed upon.

When they meet at the island, Kyle shares with the others that TK went home, which Rome celebrates because he couldn’t stand TK’s ego — ironic, coming from him.

The players separate, and each has a bag with two options: ‘gain an advantage’ or ‘lose your vote’ at tribal council.

Kyle and Anika both pull ‘lose your vote,’ but Rome pulls ‘gain an advantage,’ giving him the power to steal a vote at tribal council, along with his idol and steal-a-vote power, making him a valuable player.

They return to their tribes, and for whatever reason, the biggest drama is that everyone has discovered Sam and Sierra are not working together on the Gata tribe. Where are the “Survivor” showmances when you need them?

Anika tells her tribe they didn’t have to play the game, and she saved her vote, mainly because she doesn’t want Andy — still at the bottom of the tribe — to find out.

Kyle tells his tribe straight up that he lost his vote.

Meanwhile, Rome lies to his tribe, claiming he lost his vote, though it’s clear no one really believes him. He later decides to tell his alliance with Teeny, Gienneve, and Kishan the truth.

Time for the immunity challenge!

It’s a fun one, where contestants work in pairs to navigate an ocean obstacle course that leads to a seahorse puzzle.

Andy struggles in the obstacle course, causing Gata to fall behind, while Kishan overcomes his fear of heights and swimming to deliver a strong performance.

Rachel, a puzzle genius, helps Gata make an impressive comeback to win immunity. Tuku comes in second, leaving Lavu to face Jeff Probst at tribal council for the first time this season.

Lavu has their first real strategy talks, and it feels almost too easy.

Teeny and Kishan like Aysha personally, but they know Rome has too many advantages to vote him out, so they join his side.

Rome decides Sol is the best vote for the night, and Teeny and Kishan try to get Aysha on board, but she doesn’t want Sol to go home.

At tribal council, Rome plays his immunity idol just to be safe, and in a shocking turn of events, Aysha is sent home with three votes.

With three major players already out, this season of “Survivor” is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable yet.
