“Beast Games” Episode 8

In this episode, the remaining 10 players were put through a challenge where no one was eliminated, but one that tested the player's greed and led to many bridges being burned between many of the remaining contestants.

The challenges began with the players voting for one of them to receive a key to one of the ten houses.

That player then gave a key to another and that player gave a key to another and so on until all the keys were distributed.

The order in which the keys were given out was the same order they would come out for the challenge.

In the challenge, one at a time the players would go up and would have the ability to take as much of the remaining value as they wanted.

The first player up, player 830, took $100,000 with her under the impression that each player would also take the same and they would all leave with the same amount.

The next one up, player 456, took a little more than that as he took $223,000 out of the prize pool.

The third one up, player 566, had his family and his debt on his mind when making his decision. In a move that greatly angered the remaining players, player 566 put his family first and ended up taking $650,000 out of his prize pool, leaving only $27,000 for the remaining seven players.

After all the money was distributed, all the players were grouped together and a discussion soon began about what happened. Soon enough the players were able to find out what had happened and the players began to berate player 566 for his actions.

In an attempt to lessen the target off his back, player 566 revealed an alliance he had with three other players. It seemed however to just fuel the other contestant’s dismay for him.

At the end of the episode, Mr. Beast introduced a challenge that would eliminate four of the remaining players. In the challenge, the players vote to see which six players will move on to the final game.

The twist is that the players could use money that they received to bribe other players to let them stay in the game. The challenge will begin in the next episode. - Nikolai Wagner
