“Beast Games” Episode 6
The episode began with the reveal of the winner of the island. Nine players put their chance at $5 million for a chance to win their own private island. In the end, player 952 bested player 711 to win the island and continue in the game.
Around fifty players remained and they were taken back to Beast City, a city which Mr. Beast had built specifically to hold challenges.
When they arrived back, the players were given the option to participate in challenges categorized under physical, mental, and chance.
For players who chose a mental challenge, they each took an IQ test and were organized in a line from the highest score to the lowest score. The player who scored the lowest was automatically eliminated.
The players who scored higher were able to choose who they wanted to face off against in a game of trivia, the loser of which would be eliminated.
Notably the two players who scored the highest both lost to players who scored lower and were eliminated.
For the sixteen contestants who chose a chance, Mr. Beast spun a wheel to determine how many players were going to be eliminated.
The wheel landed on twelve meaning only four contestants would survive the challenge. To determine which players would be eliminated, each player stood on a tile in a room full of them.
The floor of many tiles would drop one after another, leading to the players standing on top of those tiles to plunge out of the room and out of the competition.
Notably player 952, the winner of the private island, was one of the four contestants to escape elimination.
Finally, those who chose physics were divided into two even teams. One player was eliminated for not being chosen in the schoolyard pick.
The two teams were labeled as the pink and orange teams and played in three challenges that tested the player’s strength, speed, and stamina.
In the first challenge won by the pink team, the two teams each worked together to pull a monster truck across a path.
In the second challenge won by the orange team, a player from each team faced off in a race to grab flags.
In the final of the three challenges, each team selected a player to hang from a metal bar high in the air.
While the players were hanging on the beam, the episode itself left the viewer hanging, with the episode ending in the middle of the competition. - Nikolai Wagner
