Ranking the THON Signs

Early afternoon on Saturday, the best sign was picked. Special guests came onto the stage to pick their favorites.

Their eyes fell on Grammacacia’s Paw Patrol theme. Since the sign judges have chosen, it is only fitting to rank the top five.

5. Alpha Omicron Pi & Phi Kappa Psi: Lego

Out of all the signs at THON, this was the most detailed among all the other signs that were not listed.

The sign is all multi-colored painted Lego bricks made with the different Greek alphabets in their respective name. The letters also have flashing lights to contrast with the well-painted black dots.

4. Lambda Chi Alpha & Alpha Xi Delta: Harry Potter

If there were letter grades given out for how detailed a sign was, this sign would be an A+. This is a very detailed sign that is very thought out.

Each letter of the Greek alphabet is a different house.

Lambda is the Gryffindor House, sporting a red and gold theme to this letter. Chi is the Slytherin House, decorated with a green and white checkered pattern. Alpha is the Ravenclaw House with a raven drawn on it with blue and white colors.

Finally, Xi is the Hufflepuff House, decorated with yellow and white stripes. Delta is a swirl of blue and black.

3. Sigma Sigma Sigma & Zeta Beta Tau: Toy Story

This one is very detailed and well put together. Also, the theme is very cute.

Each letter of the Greek alphabet is a different element from the movie.

All Sigma letters represent three different elements; Woody’s outfit, Jesse’s outfit and aliens from the Claw Machine.

The letter Zeta is the cloud background. Beta is Buzz Lightyear’s outfit. Tau is the Pixar Ball.

2. Gammacacia: Paw Patrol

This is also very well put together. Even though the different Paw Patrol characters are printed out and not drawn, it is still good.

Each letter has lights and some of the letters have different Paw Patrol characters on them. Also, each letter has lights on them to make them prettier.

1. Delta Zeta & Sigma Pi: Mario

This is probably the most creative and well-thought-out sign. Each letter is well put together and they look extremely good.

Each letter is a different element of Mario. Sigma is Mario-themed with a jumping Mario on the front. Pi is a green pipe with a Piranha peering out of it. Delta is decorated in a Peach theme.

Peach is displayed in the front and center. Zeta is Toad-themed where Toad and a star sit on the front of this Greek alphabet.
