Rank It: “The White Lotus” Season 3 characters
Welcome to “The White Lotus” in Thailand, where everyone has secrets, baggage and ulterior motives. If these tourists thought they were in for a relaxing vacation, they would be extremely mistaken.
This season, an ongoing saying has been, “Anyone who moves to Thailand is either looking for something or hiding something.”
Boy, is that the truth.
Here is my ranking of the characters in “The White Lotus” Season 3. This post contains minor spoilers for the series.
22. Greg/Gary (Jon Gries)
The only character cast in all three seasons is Greg, who goes by Gary in Thailand. It’s only a matter of time until the secrets of his past and his guilt unfold.
This evil man deserves no place higher than last.
21. Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong)
The reason Gaitok is this low is plain and simple: he is terrible at his job.
Gaitok is too busy swooning over a girl who doesn’t want him to take his position seriously. For a hotel chain that has racked up a death count, being a good security guard should be his number one priority.
20. Fabian (Christian Friedel)
Fabian is the hotel manager of Thailand’s White Lotus.
Initially, he wasn’t so bad, but his downfall was in episode five when he completely invalidated Belinda’s worries about Greg.
19. Kate (Leslie Bibb)
One-third of the gossiping trio of women, Kate is the worst. She keeps instigating a lot of the drama between her friends, not to mention her questionable political views.
She’s also kind of a buzzkill.
18. Amrita (Shalini Peiris)
Amrita, a wellness guide at the White Lotus, has the seemingly impossible task of helping Rick manage his stress.
The only reason Amrita is this low is because she hasn’t had enough screen time for me to feel attached to her.
17. Valentin (Arnas Fedaravičius)
Valentin is the handsome health mentor over whom the three friends are absolutely smitten.
Valentin hasn’t done anything particularly wrong, but something is fishy about him.
16. Pam (Morgana O’Reilly)
Another staff member at the hotel, Pam helps the Ratliff family get settled in.
Like Amrita, we haven’t seen much of Pam, but her bubbly personality and Aussie accent bump her a few spots higher.
15. Sritala (Lek Patravadi)
Sritala and her husband own the White Lotus in Thailand, though he is currently missing in action.
Sritala is a former actress and singer who is famous in Thailand, but I don’t know enough about her to rank her higher.
14. Zion Lindsey (Nicholas Duvernay)
Though Zion, Belinda’s son, has only been in one scene of the season so far, we are about to see more of him in the final few episodes.
He has good vibes.
13. Jaclyn Lemon (Michelle Monaghan)
Jaclyn is another member of the girls’ trip who was a decently likable character until she got with Valentin in the fifth episode.
It’s clear that Jaclyn was only projecting her desires when emboldening Laurie to get with him.
Episode five was everyone’s downfall.
12. Timothy Ratliff (Jason Issacs)
Timothy is the father of the Ratliff family and is the main catalyst for all my stress this season.
Timothy is a very complicated man, but he isn’t a dislikable character.
11. Pornchai (Dom Hetrakul)
Pornchai works at the White Lotus as a wellness expert, helping Belinda learn new techniques during her stay and having a bit of a romance arc.
He is a nice character who seems to be the only one taking Belinda’s concerns seriously.
10. Mook (Lalisa Manobal)
Mook is who Gaitok is seemingly in love with. Though it’s clear she has a soft spot for him, she doesn’t exactly give in to his flirting.
I think that she could be a secret villain, but so far she hasn’t done anything wrong.
9. Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon)
Chloe is Greg/Gary’s new young girlfriend who lives on top of the hill near the hotel. She befriends Chelsea and just wants to have fun with someone that gets her.
Again, however, something seems off. “The White Lotus” has a way of making viewers think everyone is hiding something, but for now Chloe is placed pretty high.
8. Saxon Ratliff (Patrick Schwarzenegger)
Saxon is the oldest child in the Ratliff family who wants to be just like his father. He is a classic frat boy type who wants nothing more in life than to shape his younger brother to be just like him.
Saxon seemed like a jerk at first, but he has redeemed himself in my eyes.
7. Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins)
Rick is Chelsea’s older boyfriend who has come to Thailand with ulterior motives that viewers find out right away.
Though Rick is cranky and not very romantic, he is a good character who seems to be trying his best.
6. Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola)
Lochlan is the youngest child in the Ratliff family whom viewers learn off the bat is facing a lot of decisions and self-discovery during this vacation.
Lochlan is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and he is a bit weird, but for now, he is still high on my list.
5. Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell)
Belinda is also a familiar face as her character worked at the White Lotus Maui in season one.
Belinda is a diva and a girl boss.
4. Laurie (Carrie Coon)
Laurie is the final member of the three best friends and certainly the most sane. She is the odd one out compared to Kate and Jaclyn, but she’s the only one living her best life.
There’s nothing not to like about Laurie.
3. Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey)
Victoria is a classic rich, Southern mom on vacation with her rich, Southern family.
Though Victoria is a bit out of touch, her ditziness is perfect for the character and audiences can’t help but be obsessed.
2. Piper Ratliff (Sarah Catherine Hook)
Piper is the middle child and the whole reason for the Ratliff’s vacation to Thailand.
Piper is one of the only characters this season that seems completely normal. She just wants to live out her dreams of converting to Buddhism and escaping her family’s narrow-mindedness.
1. Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood)
On top of the pyramid is Chelsea, Rick’s younger British girlfriend who just wants to have fun.
Unlike Chloe and Greg/Gary, her relationship with Rick seems genuine. She’s all about soulmates and star signs and being free-spirited.
Chelsea is an absolute doll of a character, and she deserves nothing less than first place.
