Penn State’s Landon Tengwall announces retirement from football

Penn State suffered a significant loss on the offensive line on Wednesday.
Left guard Landon Tengwall announced he will be medically retiring from football after sustaining an injury during camp.
Tengwall came to Happy Valley as a high-profile recruit as he ranked as the No. 81 overall prospect, No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 3 recruit out of Maryland by 247Sports.
The Annapolis, Maryland, native played just three games in his true freshman season, as he was redshirted.
In 2022, he started the first five contests of the season before he suffered an injury that ended his season against Michigan.
The Nittany Lions will now turn to J.B. Nelson to fill Tengwall’s shoes.
