Penn State football vs West Virginia

Following Penn State’s dominant 38-15 victory over West Virginia on Saturday, one player was recognized for his contributions.

Quarterback Drew Allar captured his first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award after he threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns while completing 21-of-29 passes.

Allar began the contest, launching a 72-yard bomb to give the blue and white an early lead. He added a second touchdown to Lambert-Smith and capped off the game by tossing a 25-yard score to Malik McClain.

Former Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford was the last Nittany Lion to win the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award.

“That’s really cool to win that type of award,” Allar said. “I’m not worried about the individual accolades at all. I’m just worried about the team’s success.”
