As the No. 7 Penn State men's volleyball team heads to Austin, Texas, they gear up to face off against formidable opponents Stanford and UCLA in the First Point Collegiate Challenge.

Penn State's Previous Dominance

In their previous week, Penn State showcased their prowess with a resounding 3-0 victory over King University. The Nittany Lions, now 4-0 for the season, displayed exceptional teamwork with a remarkable .449 hitting percentage.

Freshman setter Michael Schwob orchestrated the efficient attack with 37 assists, while John Kerr led all players with 15 kills on .480 hitting.

Stanford's Impressive Form

Facing off against No. 14 UC Santa Barbara, Stanford secured a 25-22, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21 win, improving their record to 4-0. The Cardinal's collective effort resulted in a .325 hitting percentage, backed by solid defense with 14 blocks and 46 digs. Will Rottman and Alex Rottman, both Santa Barbara natives, made a significant impact, contributing to Stanford's well-rounded victory.

UCLA's Dominance Continues

The No. 1 UCLA men's volleyball team extended their win streak to 16 matches with a convincing sweep against No. 10 Loyola-Chicago.

Ido David and Cooper Robinson led the attack with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. UCLA's strong blocking and serving, highlighted by Ethan Champlin's three aces, secured their victory, maintaining a remarkable .389 hitting percentage.
