By Chris Reynolds

With the release of the Big Ten Conference schedule, Penn State men's basketball's 2024-2025 slate is now fully revealed. Let’s take a look at their upcoming conference games.

Big Ten play tips off on Dec. 5 at home, as the Nittany Lions face the Purdue Boilermakers.

The blue and white will play their next game in New Jersey on Dec. 10, taking on Rutgers in their final Big Ten matchup of 2024.

They’ll then face three non-conference opponents—Coppin State, Drexel and Penn—concluding their 2024 schedule and wrapping up their non-conference games for the regular season.

Penn State starts the New Year by hosting Northwestern on Jan. 2, marking their first home game of 2025.

On Jan. 5, Indiana and Penn State will meet at The Palestra, where the Nittany Lions will play at the “Cathedral of College Basketball” for the third consecutive season.

This game against the Hoosiers is also the first meeting between the teams since Indiana eliminated Penn State in last year’s Big Ten Tournament, where the Nittany Lions were narrowly defeated 61-59.

After that, the schedule intensifies as Penn State travels to Illinois to face the reigning Big Ten Tournament champions on Jan. 8.

The Nittany Lions return home on Jan. 12 to host Oregon in their first-ever matchup since the Ducks joined the Big Ten.

In the rest of January, Penn State will face Rutgers and Ohio State at home, with road games against Michigan State, Iowa and Michigan.

February kicks off with a home game at the Bryce Jordan Center against Minnesota, followed by a West Coast road trip to face UCLA and USC in their first conference meetings with these new Big Ten teams.

The Nittany Lions then return home for a two-game stretch against Washington and Nebraska, before closing out the month with road games at Minnesota and Indiana.

Penn State’s final home game will be on Mar. 1 against Maryland, with their last regular-season game taking place on Mar. 8 at Wisconsin.

After the regular season concludes, the Big Ten Tournament will be held in Indianapolis from Mar. 12 to Mar. 16.
