Penn State lands four-star edge rusher Jaylen Harvey

Penn State added a key piece to its future defensive line.

The Nittany Lions secured the commitment of four-star edge rusher Jaylen Harvey on Monday night.

Harvey joins an impressive defensive line class that features Xavier Gilliam, De’Andre Cook, Liam Andrews, T.A. Cunningham and Mylachi Williams.

The Potomac, Maryland, native is the No. 362 prospect in the nation and the No. 33 edge rusher, according to the On3 industry rankings.

Standing at 6-foot-2, 250 pounds, Harvey has long been projected to end up in Happy Valley, visiting 11 times since April 2022.

Harvey hails from the same high school as Penn State star edge rusher Chop Robinson and continues the trend of the Nittany Lions landing pass rushers from Maryland.

The newest Nittany Lion chose the blue and white over USC and Maryland.
