Penn State in the NFL: Week 6

After week six, each team in the NFL has at least one mark in the loss column. Upsets scattered the Sunday slate, and former Nittany Lions racked up the numbers in the stat sheets.
Here’s a recap of how they fared:
Brenton Strange, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
London successes traveled back to the United States as Jacksonville defeated Indianapolis 37-20.
At the end of the third quarter, Strange got in on the scoring action with his first career touchdown reception. After making an initial block, the tight end found himself wide open in the right corner of the endzone, making the easy grab.
The rookie finished with two receptions for 27 yards — the most he’s had in his early career.
Next week, Jacksonville travels to Pittsburgh, where Strange will face some former teammates, including Joey Porter Jr.
Saquon Barkley, RB, New York Giants
Barkley returned to the field in the Giants’ 14-9 loss to the Buffalo Bills. After missing several weeks due to injury, New York didn’t hesitate to get him going again.
The running back rushed for 93 yards on 24 attempts; while Barkley only averaged 3.9 yards per carry, it’s the closest he’s been to reaching the triple-digit yardage mark.
The Giants struggled to find the endzone, yet they held the lead and the Bills scoreless until the fourth quarter.
Next week, the Commanders head to Metlife for an NFC East battle before playing the New York Jets the following week.
Micah Parsons, LB, Dallas Cowboys
In a nail-biting Monday Night Football matchup, the Cowboys edged the Chargers 20-17 on the road.
After losing by a wide margin to San Francisco the week prior, the team headed south to Los Angeles and edged the victory before its bye week.
Parsons added two tackles and one sack in the effort. The linebacker already has five sacks this season, and his explosive nature is always a threat to disturb quarterbacks.
Sean Clifford, QB, Green Bay Packers
Penn State returned from its bye week just in time for the Packers to reach their NFL breather, providing the perfect time for Clifford to travel back to Happy Valley.
Against UMass, Sean watched from the sidelines as his brother, Liam Clifford, and the blue and white shut out the Minutemen 63-0.
He riled up the crowd with a “We Are” chant during the game but will be hitting the road again with the Packers to Denver for next week’s matchup.
