Penn State Homecoming Week set to begin Oct. 8

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Are you ready? Penn State’s Homecoming week is right around the corner, spanning from Oct. 8 to Oct. 14, and will feature lots of fun activities for all to enjoy.

To start off the week on Oct. 8 at 9 a.m., head over to White Course to compete against your friends in a 9-hole golf tournament. You can then make your way over to Curtain Road and participate in Rally & Roar, which will feature a fireworks show at the end of the night.

On Oct. 9, make your way down to South Allen Street from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. and have a fantastic time at the Allen Street Jam block party. End the night by watching the dance competition.

Wander your way down to Heritage Hall on Oct. 10 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to celebrate all of Penn State’s history, both the past and present. Later that night at 7 p.m., you can watch the For the Glory Talent Show in Schwab Auditorium.

Need a break from your class? Partake in Penn State’s very own carnival on Wednesday, Oct. 11, located on the HUB Lawn from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Follow up that fun by attending the Opulence Drag Show at 8 p.m.

On Thursday, Oct. 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Paul Robeson Cultural Center will be hosting the Pride in Our Community Pep Rally on the infamous HUB Stairs.

Friday’s fun will begin with an Alumni Ice Cream Social open to all students, alumni, and the Penn State community at the Hintz Alumni Center from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Later that night, join the Penn State Homecoming Parade to celebrate one of the oldest and most famous traditions. This is immediately followed by Guard the Lion Shrine.

To end the fun-filled week with a bang, Penn State will take on the University of Massachusetts Minutemen. Head to the game and watch the presentation of the Homecoming Courts, Grand Marshals and much more.
