One of the best ways to get in the Christmas spirit in State College

Take a walk
There’s nothing I love more than taking a nice walk in downtown State College, and it’s the perfect weather to do so. It’s a little chilly, but not yet to the point where you need a full coat and snow boots to go out.
I start from the east side of campus and go down, but you could realistically go either way.
For attire, a sherpa and a pair of leggings will suffice. If you really want to embrace the season and dress in a cute sweater with some jeans, you’re more than welcome to.
I’ll order a Starbucks drink from an Edge on campus (meal plan, you know) to get me in the Christmas spirit: I’ve been loving the caramel brulee latte and the iced gingerbread oat milk chai.
What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to throw on some merry tunes in your AirPods? Whether that’s the classic “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” the new “Christmas Tree Farm” or something more deprecating like “Christmas Wrapping,” play whatever gets you in the season.
Once you cross over from campus and onto E. College Ave., let the Christmas spirit take over. Take pictures of the lights, stop in stores and put things on your wishlist or get some Christmas shopping out of the way. This is your time.
The holiday season is one of the prettiest times in State College, so don’t let it slip away from you before it’s too late. - Adrianna Gallucci
