No.1 Faith Christian Academy takes down rival No.2 Bishop McCort at the PIAA 2A Team Championship for the second straight year
ALTOONA, Pa. — Pins by Adam Waters and Freddy Bachmann led Faith Christian to defending its PIAA 2A State Crown, 34-25 , over Bishop McCort.
A pin from Bachmann provided Faith Christian with the groove that it needed to take down the Crimson Crushers. Another pin at 121 pounds by Gauge Botero over Jack Silfies put the Lions up 12-0 by the time Jax Forrest, the newly committed Oklahoma State Cowboy, got to the mat.

Sam Herring, Penn State commit, only managed a decision before Bo Bassett got on the mat to face Max Stein. This ended as a 17-9 major decision for the No.1 wrestler in the class of 2026. It made the match 19-16 going into the 172 lb matchup of Melvin Miller and Nick Singer. An aggressive back-and-forth affair with multiple stalls culminated in a 12-7 decision for Miller, the sophomore from McCort.
