NFL Week 3 Recap

After another Sunday of crazy NFL games in week three, Monday Night Football ends the week with three teams remaining undefeated and four teams that are left 0-3. There were a lot of high-scoring games and injuries from the week, let's take a look.
The Miami Dolphins closed out week three as one of three teams that remain undefeated with a dominant 70-20 win over the Denver Broncos. Miami’s 70 points scored against the Broncos defense is an NFL record for most points scored in a game since 1966.
Head coach Mike McDaniel and his Dolphin’s offense had the opportunity to score again with a field goal that would have tied the NFL record for most points scored in a game at 73 points.
The Dolphins also could have gone for a touchdown that would set a new record for the most points ever scored in an NFL game but the Dolphins ran the ball up the middle getting to the fourth down then kneeling to end their drive.
The Dolphins look to continue their winning streak against the Buffalo Bills next Sunday. The Bills are also coming off of a high-score dominant 37-3 win over the Washington Commanders.
The reigning Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs have continued to improve since their opening game loss to the Detroit Lions. The Chiefs improve to 2-1 over a commanding 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears.
The Chicago Bears fell to 0-3 after their week three loss. The Bears are one of four teams who have yet to grab a win this season. Their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs added to their 13 straight losses which currently is the longest losing streak in the NFL.
Another season of starting 3-0 for the Philadelphia Eagles after Monday night's 25-11 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 23 of 37 pass attempts and had 277 yards. Hurts had one running touchdown and threw for another.
Along with the extremely high-scoring games, week three brought injuries around the league. Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams will be out for the season after a late third-quarter knee injury against the Minnesota Vikings.
Williams caught seven passes for 121 yards before getting carted off into the locker room. After exiting the game an MRI confirmed William’s suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season.
After the Las Vegas Raiders' 28-18 loss on Sunday night to the Pittsburgh Steelers, their starting quarterback Jimmy Garopollo is now in concussion protocol following the game.
A late, second-quarter sack from Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt sent Garopllo limping to the sidelines to be evaluated by trainers. Garopollo played the entire game throwing three interceptions, two touchdowns and a total of 324 passing yards.
New Orleans starting quarterback Derrick Carr suffered an AC joint sprain in a week three loss to the Green Bay Packers. Carr was ruled out of the game after getting sacked in the third quarter and is ruled out for week four when the Saints take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
