Minnesota Vikings helmet

NFL top 10 helmets

By Michael Landis

Everybody always wants to talk about jerseys but today I’m going to give my opinion on what I think are some of the best-looking helmets in the NFL.

Honorable Mention: Jacksonville Jaguars

1. Minnesota Vikings

The Viking horns are absolutely iconic, mixed in with the clean matte purple color this is just a legendary swaggy helmet

Having the horns come out right from the facemasks and go through the back to nearly be touching is some impeccable detail.

2. New York Jets

The throwback helmets are back and they’re here to stay for the New York Jets permanently as they just announced they’re bringing back some old uniforms.

The combination of Jet wing going across the logo with the metallic green color and white filling is just a squeaky clean look.

3. Carolina Panthers

I’ve always been a fan of the matte black look and now the Panthers have it to go along with their process blue color.

They’ve always had one of the sickest-looking mascots in the league and this helmet only exemplifies the look.

4. Cincinnati Bengals

The white Bengal helmet is truly one of the cleanest-looking helmets a team has ever introduced in the NFL.

Putting a twist on the classic black and orange look for this is amazing because it gives an icy cold vibe, especially for those late-season winter games.

5. Detroit Lions throwback

The Honolulu blue is one of the most elite colors out there and while I think the old logo in this looks a little worse than the new one, the throwback vibe and the stripes make this helmet truly pop.

6. Seattle Seahawks throwback helmet

One of my favorite things is when the logo on the side of a helmet goes through the back and in the Seahawks case, this throwback helmet has some crisp style to it.

The bright metallic silver with the bright emerald on the hawk eyes gives this helmet a stellar old-fashioned look.

7. Houston Texans

The logo is a little basic but the red color is absolutely popping in this helmet and the team colors correlate well.

8. San Francisco 49ers gold shiny helmet

Once again, nothing crazy with this design but a classic gold and red combo always is a great mix and with the stripe down the middle this helmet easily deserves a spot on the list.

9. Denver Broncos Snowcap helmet

I feel like this is one of the more slept-on helmets in the league even though it’s got an elite white look to it.

Getting the Bronco blowing out inside the letter D is a sick little design and something that goes cleanly as a throwback.

10. Washington Commanders Maroon W

I understand people may dislike the basic W that the Commanders have on their helmets but this will always be one of the most drippy colors out there to me.
