NFL Prop Bets: Week 12
The following article contains information that is not representative of the opinions of CommRadio. It solely expresses the opinions of Jonathan Hartley.
Week 12 of the NFL season has arrived, and that means another opportunity to make some cash. Here are my favorite player props for this week:
Mike Evans Over 55.5 Receiving Yards vs. New York Giants
Evans is set to return from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the Buccaneers’ last three games this week, and he should give an immediate boost to Tampa Bay’s passing attack.
Evans has always been the top target for Baker Mayfield, but now he should be an absolute target merchant with Chris Godwin expected to miss the rest of the season.
With a lack of other playmakers in the offense to challenge him, Evans should hit this line with ease.
Patrick Mahomes Over 233.5 Passing Yards vs. Carolina Panthers
After suffering their first loss of the season against the Bills last week, Mahomes and the Chiefs have what seems to be an easy get-right game against the Panthers this week.
While Mahomes hasn’t been playing as well as we’re usually accustomed to so far this season, he has hit this line in six of the Chiefs’ 10 games, and he’s up against a Carolina defense that allows the 24th most passing yards in the league.
With extra motivation to bounce back from last week’s loss and a matchup against a terrible secondary, Mahomes should beat this line by the start of the fourth quarter.
Travis Kelce Over 56.5 Receiving Yards vs. Carolina Panthers
If we like Mahomes to hit his line against Carolina, we have to take his favorite target too, right?
Kelce is coming off a two-catch, eight-yard performance last week, both of which were his second-worst totals of the season. However, things are looking brighter for him this week.
I mentioned that Carolina’s secondary is terrible, but they are even worse at covering tight ends.
With such a favorable matchup, there’s no way the NFL’s best tight end won’t demolish this line.
De’Von Achane Over 66.5 Rushing Yards vs. New England Patriots
Achane has clearly taken over as the Dolphins’ No. 1 option out of the backfield, and he has a great matchup ahead of him this week.
New England has struggled against the run this season, as they allow 128.4 yards per game on the ground.
Also, this game shouldn’t be all that close, so I expect Miami to build an early lead and use Achane to keep Drake Maye and the Patriots offense off the field.
With an excellent matchup and perhaps some added volume ahead, Achane should cruise to at least 67 rushing yards.
