NFL betting: Week 7
The following article contains information that is not representative of the opinions of CommRadio. It solely expresses the opinions of Alec Brown.
Last week, I broke down in tears as the Broncos lost to the Chargers and couldn’t complete the comeback. I’ve never been so disappointed in myself. This week, I’ve made it my mission to find even better locks than last week.
The same premise applies: money lines and spreads from FanDuel. If anyone follows these picks, I hope we can win some coin.
Patriots Spread over Jaguars (+5.5, -110)
Jaguars +5.5 is a surprising line. The Jaguars are staying in Europe This week after their loss to the Chicago Bears. Meanwhile, the Patriots are coming off a tough defeat against the Texans, but rookie quarterback Drake Maye has brought hope to what seemed like a hopeless team.
This game will likely be a shootout, with both teams struggling defensively—each ranks in the bottom half of the league in opponent points per game. The Jaguars haven’t won a game by more than three points this season, and the Patriots, with newfound momentum, should keep this game close.
Falcons Spread over Seahawks (-3, -102)
The Seahawks are on a three-game losing streak, while the Falcons are coming off an impressive second-half performance, covering the spread against the Panthers. Both teams are heading in opposite directions.
Seattle’s run game has been ineffective, and their passing game inconsistent. Their defense, which allowed Jacoby Brissett and the Patriots to look competent, has left much to be desired. I fully expect Kirk and the Falcons to cover the spread in back-to-back weeks.
Colts Spread over Dolphins (-3, -110)
Without Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins' offensive output has significantly declined. Pro Bowl quarterback Tyler Huntley hasn’t been able to replicate Tagovailoa's production. Meanwhile, the Colts are picking up quality wins against teams like the Steelers and Bears.
Their defense has held up well, and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco is becoming more comfortable in the offense. With the Dolphins' defense hampered by injuries, the Colts should have no trouble covering this spread.
Chiefs Moneyline over 49ers (-102)
When the Chiefs are nearly even money, it’s hard to bet against them. Despite being underdogs in their last two Super Bowls (against the Eagles and 49ers), the Chiefs have consistently shown they can perform regardless of injuries.
The 49ers are one of the most complete teams in the NFL, but they’ve had an unusual season due to injuries.
However, the Chiefs continue to produce, no matter who’s in the lineup. Despite the losses of Isaiah Pacheco and Rashee Rice, the Chiefs' running backs remain productive. As long as Patrick Mahomes is on the field, I’ll take the Chiefs every time.
If any of these picks are incorrect, just know I’ll be as upset and disappointed as you. Also, I am not an expert.
