NFL betting: Week 5
The following article contains information that is not representative of the opinions of CommRadio. It solely expresses the opinions of Giustino Racchini.
Now already over a month into the NFL season, Week 5 is upon us, and so are the new bets.
Here are a few ones that I feel should cash out this weekend based on the lines that have been set by ESPN Bet.
Tampa Bay at Atlanta: Buccaneers +1.5
Besides what seemed like an off game in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos, Baker Mayfield has shut down all of the critics of his game.
Mayfield to start this season is in top 10 in both touchdown passes and yards this season. I understand that Atlanta’s defense has played much better this season, especially against the pass, but I like the season Baker has been putting together.
The defense also being healthier with Vita Vea back from injury and the potential for Antoine Winfield Jr. to return in Week 5, helps my case.
The Thursday night NFC South battle should be a good one.
Las Vegas at Denver: Raiders +3
The Raiders are one of those teams that I feel like end the season with eight wins and everyone is wondering how they got there.
I have two words for you, Gardner Minshew.
The Broncos' offense has been lackluster to the point that I wonder how they even have two wins through four games, but the Raiders will be ready to play in this one.
Antonio Pierce is one of the most underrated coaches in the NFL, and he deserves a lot more respect for his name. He was a winner as a player, and I feel like he has done a tremendous job coaching in Vegas.
New York Jets at Minnesota Vikings (London): Over 40.5 points
Aaron Rodgers and the Jets struggled mightily in terms of scoring points last week in the wet weather in New York. I’m a big proponent of switching the scene week after week, and Aaron Rodgers will respond.
They also take on one of the top offenses in the NFL, Minnesota. The Vikings also proved last week that their defense is not always great as the Packers put up four passing touchdowns on their secondary.
The game may be at 9:30 a.m. EST, and even earlier the further west you go, but both offenses should be geared up and ready to go across the pond.
Colts at Jaguars: Indianapolis +3
I get it, the Jaguars are desperate and finally at long last had a good offensive output last week down in Houston.
The Colts' run game has looked really good this season, and as long as either Joe Flacco or Anthony Richardson doesn’t turn the ball over, Indy should cruise to victory in this one.
Michael Pittman Jr. fantasy owners can rejoice as well, considering his big week last time out against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jacksonville could be in big trouble, and particularly Doug Pederson and the rest of the coaching staff if they start out 0-5.
