Kamara running with the football

NFL betting: Week 3

The following article contains information that is not representative of the opinions of CommRadio. It solely expresses the opinions of Carson Schuler.

Last week, I swept the board with my picks Sam Darnold threw an interception, Brandon Aubrey kicked four field goals, and the Touchdown parlay was a success.

That is very unlikely to happen again, so take these picks with a grain of salt, but we have to run it back when we're playing with house money.

Pick No. 1: Green Bay Packers +2.5

The Green Bay Packers may not have Jordan Love available, but even if so, I feel a Malik Willis revenge game is incoming. He might not be a great quarterback, but I'm going to put my faith in Willis to control the game and hopefully manage no more than one turnover.

The Packers' defense allowed only 10 points to the Colts last week, and I don't see the Titans faring well this week. The lines could easily change at a moment's notice if Love is cleared to play, but to cover two and a half points feels like the right move against a Titans team that struggles on offense.

Pick No. 2: Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers Under 35.5

This pick feels a bit more risky, but at nearly even odds, give me a 50% chance to win and I'll place that bet. The Steelers have only scored one touchdown this season and their defense seems like it could easily be one of the best units by the end of the year.

While the Chargers did put up 26 points last week versus the Panthers, I see the Steelers controlling the time of possession and we know the Chargers love to run the ball, which should favor the under. This one will likely be a sweat but I will be rooting for quality defense to be played on both sides.

Pick No. 3: Three-leg touchdown Parlay, Mike Evans, Alvin Kamara and Jahmyr Gibbs +476

Last week I picked Montgomery to score for the Lions, but this week I'm going with Gibbs. I love the Lions' offense and this is the one pick that comes directly from my gut.

I hope all of these games are shootouts, Evans could have a tough test against Patrick Surtain II, but I think even despite that, Baker Mayfield will be looking for him when they reach the red zone, that's just where he feasts.

Alvin Kamara faces the Philadelphia Eagles who were put on fraud check last week against the Atlanta Falcons, the Dallas Cowboys are also on fraud watch after Kamara scored four touchdowns on them, I expect him to find the end zone at least once on Sunday.

This parlay has much lower odds than the one from last week at +476, (a $10 bet wins $47), but I got lucky once, so why not twice?

To reiterate, do not follow my advice, I am not a financial analyst or betting expert, realistically I just got lucky.
