NBA Top 10: Signature shoe logos

By Charles Wesolowski

Throughout the NBA, there are countless players who have a signature shoe that they designed, some more notable than others. A big part of each shoe is the signature logo that is attached to it, signifying to everyone who it belongs to. Some players have done a really great job designing their logos, so here are the 10 best we have seen.

No. 10: Ja Morant

Starting the list is a simplistic design with his first name, Ja, being stretched upwards. The upward direction of the logo is a nod to his high-flying ability on the court, giving the logo some more character and meaning.

No. 9: Kobe Bryant

The Black Mamba has a timeless logo design and is one of the most recognizable in the sport. Countless players don the iconic shoes under his name, continuing his legacy across countless teams in the NBA.

No. 8: Damian Lillard

Another classy design done really well with the initials of Lillard. The logo combines his initials D and L and creates his jersey number zero with the way the letters are put together. The intricate design is well put together, and incorporating the number zero is a great touch.

No. 7: LeBron James

James takes a similar approach to Lillard, using his initials in his logo while adding some personalization as well. Sitting atop the L and J in his logo is a crown, a nod to his nickname, King James. A player who has played as long as James has needed a strong logo, and he did not disappoint with this design.

No. 6: Victor Wembanyama

Although he is still waiting for his own shoe, Wembanyama already has a flashy logo ready. The logo is inspired by his nickname, The Alien, with an alien head being located within a basketball. Although more could have been done, the ties to the nickname make this one of the cleanest logos in the league.

No. 5: Chris Paul

Paul outdid himself with this logo, perfectly combining his initials and jersey number into one cohesive design. His nickname CP3, is iconic, and having his logo be designed around it was an excellent choice, even if his shoes are not the most repped in the NBA.

No. 4: Michael Jordan

Being one of the greatest basketball players of all time, it is only fitting that he has one of the best logos in league history. The Jump Man logo is arguably the most iconic of the bunch and has turned into something more than basketball players enjoy. As timeless as it gets, Jordan will be a name around the league for quite some time, both for his playing career and shoes.

No. 3: Anthony Edwards

Already taking over the league on the court, Edwards has put himself into the ring with his own signature shoe and logo. The design might just look like an obscure letter A at first glance, but the details go much deeper. The logo has five ridges on each side for his jersey number and is even in the shape of an ant hill for his nickname Ant Man.

No. 2: Derrick Rose

Possibly the biggest what-if story in NBA history had a perfect logo to represent him. The logo is simple but fitting, with his first initial D being placed at the center of a rose. It may not be the most elaborate logo, but with his name, the idea was just too good to pass up.

No. 1: De’Aaron Fox

Just like Rose, when your name plays perfectly into a logo design, you have to take it. The letter D encapsulated into the fox is just a beautiful logo and looks so clean on his new signature shoe. Sometimes, doing less is more and this logo understood the assignment perfectly.
