My favorite Christmas special: Sketch Morton

“Christmas Who?”- SpongeBob SquarePants

The Christmas season has arrived in Bikini Bottom, but some holidays are less celebrated under the sea. When Sandy introduces the town to Christmas, all the folks become overwhelmed with the holiday spirit.

In this Season 2 holiday special, SpongeBob gets to know what the Christmas season is all about. The main character of this story isn’t so much SpongeBob, however, as it is his neighbor Squidward. The grouchy, irritable invertebrate, who doesn’t typically have a place in his heart for any charitable or benevolent actions, finds the inspiration to fix what became a disastrous Christmas.

The first Christmas special in SpongeBob history is able to do what not many other shows can accomplish, encapsulate the feeling of Christmas so potently in just 24 minutes. It also introduces viewers to one of the best songs from the series, “The Very First Christmas”. If you’re looking for a quick shot of Christmas spirit this holiday season, look no further than “Christmas Who?”.
