Hunter Biden pardoned

Hunter Biden’s legal challenges stemmed from accusations of purchasing a firearm while using drugs and failing to pay over $1.4 million in taxes. An initial plea deal, which could have allowed him to avoid incarceration, fell apart during court proceedings, leading to convictions in two separate cases.

While the charges carried the possibility of decades behind bars, sentencing guidelines suggested a more lenient punishment. Hunter’s attorneys argued he was unfairly targeted due to his family ties, a claim President Biden reiterated in his statement.
