Republican incumbent Glenn Thompson has won reelection to the US House of Representatives by winning the 15th Congressional District in Pennsylvania.

Thompson defeated Democrat Zach Womer to retain his spot at the house which he has been holding since 2019.

The race was called at around 9:30 p.m. EST last night by the Associated Press with Thompson receiving over seventy percent of the vote.

Womer was close to Thompson when it came to votes in Centre County but lagged behind in all other counties.

Thompson celebrated his victory at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College where he was surrounded by friends, family and supporters.

When he had learned about the results of the election, Thompson said the following in one of many statements:

“From Kittanning to Selinsgrove, from Warren to State College, and every town and municipality in between, the hardworking families of Pennsylvania recognize this election has been a choice between higher prices and handouts or unlocking America’s true economic potential.”
