Emmys Red Carpet Looks

By Arts & Entertainment Staff

The Arts and Entertainment Department reviewed the Emmys red carpet looks, where celebrity fashion sparkled and stumbled on the red carpet.

Kristen Wiig

In every photo, Kristen Wiig smirks, probably because she knows she’s the best dressed there. At the Emmys Award Show, Wiig was tanned, glowing and looked like the prettiest Bottega bag.

Just kidding, Wiig is dressed in one of the best designers in the world: Oscar de la Renta. De la Renta is on every red carpet and always appears on the best-dressed list.

From head to toe, Wiig looks perfect. Her trendy bob is perfectly styled and accompanied by minimal makeup and jewelry. Her stylist knew that the dress was the main event.

Her metallic gown is mesmerizing. In some light it looked gold, in others, it looked silver, but in all, she sparkled and glistened. - Natalie Simone

Schitt’s Creek Cast

Oh bay-bay, look how good the Schitt’s Creek cast looks!

As Catherine O’Hara presented the award for outstanding comedy in her gorgeous tan, sparkly, laced dress, hosts Eugene and Dan Levy came out and stood next to her before Annie Murphy came out behind them, drawing so much excitement from the audience.

The father-son host duo both rocked their signature styles and looked nothing short of incredible.

Eugene kept it classic with a black tuxedo and a lavender tie with his signature glasses.

Dan also wore a black tuxedo, but instead of going for a classic look like his dad, chose a white shirt with a uniquely structured collar that came up next to his neck. His signature glasses were also featured.

Murphy looked beautiful as always as she stepped out with a blonde bob and a black bralette-lace shirt under a striped suit.

The style was always on point during the iconic comedy series, and they continued that streak at the Emmys. - Ashley Mascaro

Hannah Einbinder

Hannah Einbinder’s gown mastered the coexistence of stiff and flowy. Designed by Louis Vitton, Einbinder wore a blush-draped gown with a leather-like accent on her one-shoulder neckline.

Other than the tranquil Greek God toga-inspired dress, Einbinder was minimally styled. Her hair looked completely natural and only wore a little makeup.

All eyes go straight to her neckline with the fabric is strong and molded, but flows like water across her chest. The differing fabric, but the monotone color scheme, added elegance and a little twist to the done-before-blush-draped dress.

The look was effortless and simple, but not boring or or unfinished. - Natalie Simone

Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep has won several different awards throughout her acting career, but she was not winning with this Emmys look.

The actress walked down the red carpet in an oversized bubblegum pink suit with a long pink bow tie and wide-leg pants that were not very fitting on her body.

She finished it off with open-toed sandals, a white-pink purse, and gold hoops. A closed-toed shoe would have looked more appropriate with this type of outfit.

The oversized look is more of a classic look, and it did not fit the vibe the rest of the celebrities wore on the carpet.

Overall, this Meryl Streep look did not live up to standards like she was expected to. - Ashley Mascaro

Chris Perfetti

Chris Perfetti’s red carpet was obviously beautifully made and a very high-fashion blouse, but it didn’t exceed any expectations. He is dressed by the young and ambitious American designer, Christian Siriano.

Siriano usually plays with limits and is a veteran of unique and feminine menswear. But in Perfetti’s case, he didn’t meet the mark.

To enhance the red carpet look, Perfetti could have mixed hard and soft. The blouse has an edge and an interesting free-flowing pattern, but matched with black flowy wide-leg trousers didn’t flatter the top.

The outfit should have had another fabric, dynamic or color to add a touch of personality to match the specialness of the blouse. - Natalie Simone

Fellow Travelers’ Cast

When Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey stepped on the red carpet Sunday, everyone’s eyes were immediately glued to the screen.

The “Fellow’s Travelers” actors and Emmy nominees stunned in fancy suits that coordinated with each other.

Bailey stepped out in a sharp black Giorgio Armani suit with a silk button-up and a blazer with peak lapels. He added De Beers jewelry, red-shaded sunglasses, and an Omega watch with his Santoni shoes.

Bomer also stepped out in a finely pressed custom suit that included a mauve blazer and button-up and high-waisted pants. He also showed off an Omega watch and wore black leather shoes.

Even though neither of them took home an award on Sunday, they were winning with their looks for the night. - Ashley Mascaro

Nicola Coughlan

Nicola Coughlan stood out on the red carpet by dazzling in a disco ball meets alien full-length gown. The American designer, Prabal Gurung, stuck to what he’s good at by pushing the limits with shape, color and texture, but didn’t blow anyone away.

And for Coughlan, everyone has seen this look before, but in gold. In April 2024 at the “Bridgerton” Premiere she wore a similarly shaped look and it was way more successful.

Coughlan looked uncomfortable and stiff. The off-the-shoulder wasn’t flattering, but only mirrored the weird silhouette around her hips. On the other hand, her hair and makeup were perfectly done and showed off her true beauty.

Gurung should have chosen between the OFU orbiting her hips or the robot-shoulders. The look is overwhelming and doesn’t even match the recent trends. There is no success from Gurung, but success in Coughlan’s face card. - Natalie Simone
