CommRadio NFL Mock Draft 4.0

By CommRadio Staff

The 2025 NFL Draft starts tonight. With a draft class that has such a lack of consensus around each pick, creating a mock draft can feel like a pirate sailing the rough seven seas.

In CommRadio’s fourth and final mock draft, Austin Moran, Chris Carr, Peyton Waddell and Darian Capobianco try their best to navigate the murky waters.

  1. Tennessee Titans- Cam Ward, QB | Miami

It continues to look more and more like Cam Ward will be the consensus number one pick in this year's draft.

Will Levis is not the answer for the Titans and Ward is the guy Tennessee will build their future around. -Austin

2. Cleveland Browns- Travis Hunter, WR/CB | Colorado

The Browns look as if they will take the best player available and Hunter could fill voids on both sides of the ball for Cleveland.

Hunter would easily become Cleveland's most potent weapon if drafted in this position. -Austin

    3. New York Giants- Abdul Carter, EDGE | Penn State

Carter is a generational type player and if he is sitting there at three for the Giants, there is no way they pass him up.

Carter would be a great complement to Dexter Lawrence II and Kayvon Thibodeaux for New York. -Austin

      4. New England Patriots- Will Campbell, OT | LSU

Campbell is the most polished tackle in the draft and fills a massive void for New England.

The Pats get their guy to protect Drake Maye. -Austin

        5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Mason Graham, DT | Michigan

The Jags could use some more interior pass rush and Graham is great at rushing the QB and stopping the run.

Jacksonville could build one of the best young D-lines in the league with this pick at five. -Austin

          6. Las Vegas Raiders- Ashton Jeanty, RB | Boise State

The Raiders are thin in the backfield and Jeanty is a versatile weapon who could be used in the run and pass.

Owner Mark Davis has also been pressured by his own son to draft Jeanty at this spot. -Austin

            7. New York Jets- Armand Mambou, OT | Missouri

The Jets need a long term-solution at tackle and Membou has all the skills to be that.

He gives them extreme upside with QB Justin Fields now at the helm in New York. -Austin

              8. Carolina Panthers- Jalon Walker, EDGE | Georgia

Jalon Walker fits what the Panthers are trying to build defensively with speed, aggression and someone who can play all three downs.

I could see Carolina going with a receiver with this pick, but I think Walker’s talent level is off the charts. -Austin

                9. New Orleans Saints- Shedeur Sanders, QB | Colorado - Chris

With the recent news of Derek Carr’s injury emerging, the Saints’ quest for a franchise quarterback could be expedited here.

Luckily for new Head Coach Kellen Moore, one of the flashiest names in the draft has fallen into their lap at the ninth pick.

Sanders is one of the most overlooked prospects in the draft and he will generate plenty of buzz and hype in New Orleans who absolutely needs to make a splash in this draft. -Chris

                  10. Chicago Bears- Tyler Warren, TE | Penn State

Head Coach Ben Johnson has his sights set on doing everything he can do to make life easier for Caleb Williams in his sophomore campaign.

He has already added three starting offensive lineman and he adds another blocker and offensive weapon in Warren, who he can also have some fun with in Wildcat packages next season. -Chris

                    11. San Francisco 49ers- Jahdae Barron, CB | Texas

The 49ers strategy has been unclear so far this offseason as most of their defense found homes elsewhere in free agency. Barron plugs a lot of those holes as one of the most versatile defensive players in the class.

A long, lanky defensive back who has spent time at outside corner, slot corner and safety, Robert Saleh nabs a talented “chess piece” here for his new defensive regime. -Chris

                      12. Dallas Cowboys- Tetaroia McMillan, WR | Arizona

The Cowboys are transitioning to a new era with the promotion of Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to become their new Head Coach.

Jones is doing everything in his power to maximize Dak Prescott’s prime years and a receiver with a massive catch radius and proven college production at his disposal will definitely help. - Chris

                        13. Miami Dolphins- Walter Nolen, DT | Ole Miss

Miami is strong on the edges with Jaelen Phillips and Bradley Chubb, but where they lack is up the middle of their 3-4 defense.

Nolen is one of the most physically gifted interior defenders in the class and presents a high-floor as a run defender with room to grow developing a pass rush arsenal. -Chris

                          14. Indianapolis Colts- Jihaad Campbell, LB | Alabama

The Colts have shown a trend towards investing more resources into their defense with last year's first round selection Laitu Latu, inking Charvarious Ward to a deal this offseason alongside new coordinator Lou Anaroumo coming over from Cincinnati.

The last puzzle piece is Campbell, another versatile piece who can be the field general of this defense at the middle linebacker spot. -Chris

                            15. Atlanta Falcons- Shemar Stewart, EDGE | Texas A&M

Despite underwhelming production in college, Stewart’s tools are some of the best in the class.

The Falcons desperately address their lack of pass rush from their defensive front and invest in a high-upside athletic freak in Stewart. -Chris

                              16. Arizona Cardinals- Will Johnson, CB | Michigan

Johnson is one of the most fundamentally sound corners you will ever see. A hamstring injury cut his 2024 season short and has clouded his draft outlook, but the potential is there.

Arizona stops Johnson’s draft night skid here and fills a major hole in a secondary that is desperate for a lead corner. - Chris

                                17. Cincinnati Bengals- Mike Green, Edge | Marshall

With the Bengals putting up video game numbers offensively we can’t say the same about their defense.

With the uncertain future of Trey Hendrickson, Mike Green would be the perfect get for the Bengals. -Peyton

                                  18. Seattle Seahawks- Mathew Golden, WR | Texas

With the departure of a few offensive pieces including standout receiver DK Metcalf I think Mathew Golden will be a good grab for this team to help fill the void. -Peyton

                                    19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Malaki Starks, S | Georgia

With a middle of the pack defense last year, the Buccaneers will be looking to help supplement that defense and Malaki Starks would be a perfect fit for this team.-Peyton

                                      20. Denver Broncos- Omarion Hampton, RB | North Carolina

The Denver Broncos had a surprising season last year to some people and they nailed the defensive side this offseason.

With Jeanty being selected already, I think Hampton will be a great add for this team to get the run game involved for seasons to come. -Peyton

                                        21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Jaxson Dart, QB | Ole Miss

The big question mark for the Steelers going into the season is the quarterback position. As of now I think Dart is the answer. It will be interesting to see if the Steelers do target him. -Peyton

                                          22. Los Angeles Chargers- Colston Loveland, TE | Michigan

We are now entering year two in the Harbaugh era with the Chargers and after a good year one, the Chargers are looking to bolster up their pass catchers. With Warren off the board Loveland will be a perfect fit for this team. -Peyton

                                            23. Green Bay Packers- Emeka Egbuka, WR | Ohio State

Ever since the departure of Davante Adams the Packers have had a tough time finding that high-volume receiver, and I think Egbuka will slide right in and provide a great spark for this Packers team. -Peyton

                                              24. Minnesota Vikings- Kelvin Banks Jr., OT | Texas

After coming off an impressive free agency, the Vikings are in a great position for their pick. I think if they go out and get Banks Jr. this will sure up a great offensive line for J.J. McCarthy to inherit and throw behind. -Peyton

                                                25. Houston Texans- Tyler Booker, OG | Alabama

With the departures of Laremy Tunsil and Kenyon Green, the offensive line is a major need for the Texans, especially on the left side.

Booker is one of the top interior offensive linemen in the draft, with experience at both guard and tackle.

After bringing in LT Cam Robinson, Booker will likely start at LG across from RG Juice Scruggs. But having the versatility to play inside or outside is a valuable asset. -Darian

                                                  26. Los Angeles Rams- Luther Burden III, WR | Missouri

Outside the two-year contract that Davante Adams signed this offseason, the Rams don’t really have a long-term answer at receiver outside of Puka Nacua.

Burden would make a great slot, solidifying LA’s receiving core as they try to chase a Super Bowl in the last few years of Matthew Stafford’s career. -Darian

                                                    27. Baltimore Ravens- Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE | Boston College

This pick makes too much sense. A speedy, juiced-up edge rusher perfectly fits Baltimore’s defense. Donovan Ezeiruaku brings a lot of athleticism and a great pass-rushing toolbag to the Ravens’ front seven. -Darian

                                                      28. Detroit Lions- Grey Zabel, OL | North Dakota State

The Lions have consistently had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, and they look to keep that streak alive by adding one of the most versatile linemen in the draft.

At NDSU, Grey Zabel lined up at four out of the five positions on the offensive line. His size and athleticism will allow him to continue to work as a chess piece in the NFL. In this scenario, Zabel likely lines up as a day-one starter at RG for Detroit. -Darian

                                                        29. Washington Commanders- Nick Emmanwori, S | South Carolina

Washington could go a bunch of different ways here, but I think Nick Emmanwori gives them the most value at this selection. The South Carolina product is fast and versatile.

Emmanwori can line up at safety or nickelback, which are both positions of need for Washington. He should be an instant difference maker in the secondary. -Darian

                                                          30. Buffalo Bills- Kenneth Grant, DT | Michigan

The Bills focused on the edge in free agency, signing Joey Bosa. So Buffalo shifts its attention to the interior in the draft, snagging Kenneth Grant to pair alongside Ed Oliver.

The massive Michigan product may need some time to develop further as a pass rusher, but his power and size will make an immediate impact against the run. -Darian

                                                            31. Kansas City Chiefs- Josh Simmons, OT | Ohio State

After taking six sacks in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs' main focus this offseason should be to bring in protection for Patrick Mahomes. Drafting Josh Simmons is a good start.

One of the best left tackle prospects in the draft, Simmons is a smooth mover with great size. He should help Mahomes feel more secure on his blind side. -Darian

                                                              32. Philadelphia Eagles- Mykel Williams, EDGE | Georgia

We’ve seen this story before. A highly touted player falls just enough for the Eagles to capitalize and snag a draft steal. Mykel Williams’ length, physicality and athleticism fit the mold of a Philly pass-rusher.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will have a field day adding a player like this to his defensive line rotation. Plus, Williams continues the trend of the infamous Georgia to Philadelphia pipeline as a cherry on top. -Darian

Darian Capobianco is a fourth-year majoring in broadcast journalism. To contact him, email dpc5734@psu.edu.
