College football is heading into the final month of regular season play, and the bets only continue to heat up.

Numerous marquee matchups are on top including the highlighted Penn State vs Ohio State showdown in Happy Valley.

I would honestly stay away from that matchup, but here are three others that I would attack.

Duke @ Miami: Duke +21.5 Noon

Duke is having a tremendous season this year, after losing the two stars of last year's team, quarterback Riley Leonard and HC Mike Elko.

It has been the replacements that have been the key to a 6-2 start to the season. Manny Diaz, who I wish was still at Penn State, and Maalik Murphy have been tremendous.

Murphy this season has 17 touchdown passes and five interceptions through the team's first eight games.

The defense has been tremendous, giving up over 20 points only once in the past five games of the season.

Cam Ward has been a superstar talent that puts him near the top of the Heisman odds, but 21.5 points is a bit much against a team like Duke.

Duke is coming off a loss to SMU in a heartbreaker in OT, so I would expect a strong and profound response this weekend.

Minnesota @ Illinois: Illinois +3 Noon

Once again Illinois is a home underdog against a team that is on fire this season. Minnesota is coming in winners of three straight and fresh off a 40-piece against Maryland.

The offense has been explosive, but the Illinois defense has faced its fair share of elite offenses this season.

Another key reason why I like the Fighting Illini is because the last time they gave up 35 plus points in a game, the next week they responded by shutting down Michigan, and winning 21-7.

Minnesota’s quarterback Max Brosmer is miles better than Alex Orji, Davis Warren or whoever is playing the quarterback position. With that said Illinois has seen Drew Allar and Dillon Gabriel as well this season.

They are a battle-tested unit defensively, and I trust Luke Altmyer more in a game where the winner could make a push for a good bowl game down the stretch.

Oregon @ Michigan: ORE -14.5 3:30 p.m.

Oregon has scored 30-plus points in seven of their eight games this season. Michigan may have a solid defense, but they have met only one team that could be considered an elite offense, and that is USC.

Oregon has also proved that they are a team that is hard to bet against, case in point when I picked Purdue +29.5 two weeks prior.

The Ducks are at an all-time high with Dillon Gabriel. He is now one of the leading candidates for the Heisman Trophy.

Jordan James also has had an outstanding year 800 rushing yards on the season through eight games. You can bookmark essentially 100 yards a week for him.

If Michigan had actual good quarterback play then maybe they could lay the points here, but nothing about them this year suggests anything otherwise.
