BJC to host Lil Yachty & Friends

The Bryce Jordan Center will host Lil Yachty & Friends on Sept. 8 at 8 p.m., it announced on Instagram and in an email.

NLE Choppa, J.I. The Prince and Chow Lee will also join the event, hosted by Platinum Entertainment Group.

Lil Yachty broke onto the rap scene in 2016, joining a long list of 2016 XXL Freshmen Cypher rappers. He’s most well-known for hits like “Broccoli” with DRAM and “iSpy” with Kyle (who came to Penn State for Lights Up 2022).

NLE Choppa has released a series of songs titled “Shotta Flow” and went viral for his song “Sl*t Me Out,” which has over 331 million listens on Spotify.

J.I. The Prince is a smaller rapper from Brooklyn but is garnering Spotify listens. He’s collaborated with artists like Lil Tjay and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. Chow Lee is an up-and-coming popular artist, with his most popular song “swag it!” at over one million listening on Spotify.

Tickets will go on sale starting at noon until 10 p.m. on May 2. Students save $20 with their Penn State ID number.
