BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Nick Foor started the night with a corner 3-pointer to set the tone in the first quarter for Bishop Guilfoyle. He finished the game with 16 points, leading the Marauders to victory.

The Marauders started the night on a 9-0 run, before a layup from Peyton Vancas got Bellefonte on the board.

Bishop Guilfoyle canned three more first quarter triples en-route to an early 24-11 first quarter lead.

Bellefonte tried to keep pace with Vancas having seven first-half points for the Red Raiders, but Bishop Guilfoyle kept it rolling.

Troy Ruggery had ten first-half points and Jake Kissell had nine, which helped Bishop Guilfoyle mount an 18-point lead at the half.

In the third quarter, that’s when Foor took over.

The senior guard came out firing with three consecutive 3-pointers to start the second half. He also added two more points on a drive later in the quarter, giving him 11 for the period.

“I just want to give thanks to my teammates for getting me the ball when I was open, and creating shots for me,” Foor said.

The Marauder starters left the game in the third quarter when they were up 58-24, allowing the mercy rule to set it.

The fourth quarter turned into a junior varsity game for the Marauders. Sophomore Connor Okonak had six of the team’s 10 points in the frame.

For Bellefonte, Vancas finished the night with 12 points and senior Ryder Hamilton had 11.

Bishop Guilfoyle cruised to a 71-44 victory, keeping the team’s momentum high going into the postseason. Coach Ryan Lestochi said momentum was the most important thing they talked about throughout the week.
