Cole Palmer makes history with hat trick

Chelsea was on the brink of losing against Manchester United.

With United up two scores with 99 minutes on the clock, Chelsea needed to act fast.

Cole Palmer did in fact act fast, scoring a hat trick as well as the game-winning goal to seal it.

Palmer’s goal made history, as it was the latest game-winning goal in Premier League history.

100 minutes and 39 seconds, as well as a hat trick.

He was also named player of the month for March.

What more could Palmer ask for?

Arsenal draws with Bayern München in Leg 1 of the Champions League quarter-finals

Arsenal was down one goal heading into the second half, and needed to get something going if they wanted a chance.

That is actually what they did, as they were able to draw 2-2 in the quarterfinals.

Leandro Trossard was able to deliver the game-tying goal in the second half.

Arsenal was able to outshoot Bayern in terms of shots, possession, and chances created.

Bayern came into this game struggling when defending against transition, but they were able to do better with that in this match.

Despite the game ending in a draw, Thomas Tuchel said Bayern should have won the game.

After this draw, both teams will be looking to recoup for their next matchups.

John Murtough stepping down as Manchester United’s director

After 10 years with United, John Murtough will be stepping down from his role with the club. Dan Ashworth is set to replace him.

The transaction is mutual, as the co-chair of the club John Glazer thanks him for his tireless efforts and says “He will always be welcome back at Manchester United as a friend of the club”.

The club is hoping the negotiations will be smooth, as there is a dispute with the contractual terms of his release.

Manchester United sits sixth in the Premier League standings with a 15-4-12 record.

Liverpool still trying to find Jurgen Klopp’s successor

Liverpool is still searching for a new sporting boss, as Jurgen Klopp announced his departure from the team back in January.

Ruben Amorim was thought to have been the next man up to replace Klopp, but Amorim denied it.

The Portuguese boss denied these reports, as he claims he has not had any interviews with the team at all.

The former midfielder was the leading candidate to replace Klopp’s role, as Liverpool has yet to make any other negotiations.

Klopp is not the only change made in terms of management in the club.

Former sporting director Michael Edwards is returning to be the chief executive of football.

Richard Hughes will also be joining the organization as the sports director. He was from Bournemouth.

Liverpool sits second in the Premier League standings with a 21-8-2 record.

With this news from around the league, it should be exciting to see what happens down the stretch of the season.
