
After The Whistle District 6 & Penn State Sports Weekly Recap: April 23, 2025
After the Whistle covered various high school and Penn State sports this week.
Girls Lacrosse
The Danville Ironmen defeated Bellefonte Red Raiders on the road by a score of 18-6. The Ironmen moved to 4-5 on the season, while Bellefonte fall to 1-8.
Boys Volleyball
The State College Little Lions took down the Altoona Mountain Lions in a 3-1 home victory. The Little Lions are now 6-4 on the season, while the Mountain Lions dropped to 2-8.

The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers beat the Penns Valley Rams at home by a score of 4-1. The Mountaineers improved to 7-3, while the Rams fall to 4-4.
Penn State Baseball
The Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Purdue Boilermakers by a score of 13-6 at home. The Nittany Lions followed up that performance with a 3-2 home victory, improving to 25-14 on the season.

The Penn State Nittany Lions beat the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in their final regular season game by a score of 12-4 at home. The Nittany Lions moved to 9-3 on the season, as the Scarlet Knights fall to 6-8 before the Big Ten Tournament.
Penn State Men's Volleyball
The Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Princeton Tigers in their regular season finale in a 3-0 home victory. The Nittany Lions moved to 11-15, while the Tigers fall to 14-10 before the EIVA Tournament.
