ACC Teams as Christmas Decorations

With the holiday season and college basketball season in full swing, people have been getting ready for some great things over the next few months.

One of the biggest Christmas traditions is putting up a Christmas tree as well as decorating the tree as best as you can.

But, with college basketball going on, some will want to focus on the best teams in the country and less on the holidays.

So why don’t we combine the two and talk about Christmas tree decorations and some of the teams from the ACC.

Here are ACC college basketball teams as Christmas tree decorations.

The Star: Duke

The best team in the ACC and highest ranked in the AP Poll. While they might not be the top team in the standings, the pure talent that the Blue Devils have puts them at the top and at the top of the Christmas tree.

Not to mention the number of stars that Duke has including Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach.

If you could be multiple stars on top of the Christmas tree, that would be what Duke is right now.

The Lights: Clemson

Clemson has been a very fun team to watch this just like it’s so much fun to watch Christmas tree lights.

They’ve very flashy and only have one loss this season which puts them at the top of the conference standings.

The Tigers have been lighting it up this season in both conference and non-conference play which is why they resemble the lights on a Christmas tree.

The Ornaments: UNC

The staple of all Christmas tree decorations. A Christmas tree isn’t complete without them just like the ACC isn’t complete without the Tar Heels.

While they may not look pretty at times and break apart in some of their games, they get it done at the end of the day.

Just like the different variations of ornaments, UNC could put out so many different lineups that would produce no matter what and any fan would be happy with.

The Tinsel: Miami

Tinsel is meant to mimic ice which is exactly what the Hurricanes are mimicking as well.

Miami has been cold as of late and while they started the season 3-0, they have gone on a seven game losing streak which has them as the bottom of the ACC.

While Miami is always around just like tinsel is always around the tree, it gets to the point where they stop performing and have no hope of winning.

The Random Birds Nest: Louisville

The random bird's nest that shouldn’t be there but somehow finds its way into the Christmas tree.

Kenny Payne has not been able to do much with this program and it’s getting to the point where Louisville may be just like the bird’s nest and shouldn't belong in the tree, just like the Cardinals don’t belong in the ACC.

Some of the best teams in the nation come from the ACC and while some are able to prove why they are deserving of top spots in the conference, some show why they shouldn’t come close to a Christmas tree.
