By Bronwyn Liber

Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries, and two other men were arrested Tuesday on charges of luring men into drug-laced sex parties.

For nearly 20 years, Jeffries, his partner Matthew Smith and their employee James Jacobson used status and power from the retail store name to cover up acts and empty promises.

According to the information released, Jacobson, Jeffries and Smith paid for dozens of men to travel to engage in sex with them and other men in New York, England, France, Italy, Morocco and St. Barts between the timeline of 2008 and 2015. On Tuesday, Jeffries was released on a ten-million dollar bond.

Jeffries used his title to offer “Abercrombie modeling gigs”, as incentive to the participating men with no intention of following through.

Jeffries left Abercrombie & Fitch back in 2014. The New Albany, Ohio-based company declined to comment on his arrest. However, Jeffries himself will appear in court on Friday.

The former executive and his co-conspirators convinced aspiring male models that attending their secretive events to sign nondisclosure agreements which is partially what led to the secrecy of the events over the last decade. These events would also be pushing for high alcohol usage and muscle relaxers such as Viagra, taking away individuals' right to give consent.

Abercrombie, the company, commented saying its “appalled and disgusted” by the allegations against its former chief.
