Super Bowl Betting: Best betting odds for Super Bowl 60
The following article contains information that is not representative of the opinions of CommRadio. It solely expresses the opinions of Ben Barker.
The wait is almost over; the biggest game of the NFL season is finally in our sights.
The Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will do battle on the biggest stage for the first time in just over a decade when the two teams square off in Super Bowl 49.
With Super Bowl Sunday on the horizon, let’s look at some surefire bets to lock in before kickoff.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Over 49.5 receiving yards
Certainly an obvious choice to start, but I couldn’t help but keep this guy off the list.
JSN has been a yardage machine in 2025, leading the league in receiving yards in the regular season and ranking 4th among postseason receivers in that category.
The 2023 first-round pick has blossomed into a bona fide x-factor and will be a pivotal weapon Sam Darnold will target often.
Expect JSN to get ample opportunities to make plays, making him a prime betting option.
Drake Maye: Over 0.5 interceptions
Both squads have top-four scoring offenses and defenses, so I’m expecting to see both on Sunday. Despite both quarterbacks reaching uncharted territory, I expect Maye’s nerves to get the best of him early on.
Seattle’s defense has proven it can stymie any offense it faces, and I think a young and shaky Pats offensive line will force the rookie signal-caller to make questionable decisions.
I can’t see Maye struggling the entirety of the game, but I definitely sense jitters will play a factor in his early game performance.
Seahawks Defense: Over 1.5 sacks
What makes the Seahawks so good is their impact on both sides of the ball. Defense wins championships; that’s been the fuel to the potent Seattle offensive attack.
The Seattle defense has caused immense pressure on quarterbacks all season long, ranking 4th in the NFL with a 38.1 percent pressure rate
The Pats o-line will have their hands full all night long, with the likes of Demarcus Lawrence and Byron Murphy II causing destruction up front.
Not to mention their pass coverage ranks 11th in the NFL in opposing yards against, so don’t be surprised to see some coverage sacks.
Seahawks cover spread (-4.5)
I haven’t been giving the Patriots much love, and I am continuing to do so. While I firmly believe this will be a close battle, Seattle will cover the tight spread.
I think that Seattle is the more complete team, and a squad that has gone through a much tougher path to the Super Bowl.
The Patriots are a well-coached squad whose identity all season was finding ways to win games, no matter how ugly.
That run will end on Sunday. While both teams have their flaws, the Seahawks are too talented to lose this one.
