“Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 Episode 2
Live, from Hollywood, it’s “Dancing with the Stars” One-Hit Wonders Night!
The 14 celebrities and their pro partners are back in the ballroom for week two of the reality dance competition, with a looming double elimination.
This week, the pairs danced to one-hit wonders, and with theme of the night in mind, host Alfonso Ribeiro challenged one judge per couple to only use one word for their critique.
Alix Earle was the first celeb to hit the dance floor.
The social media star danced a jive to “Mambo No. 5” with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, upping her performance value with some newfound confidence in her movement.
Carrie Ann Inaba is back with co-judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli, collectively leaving Earle with a score of 21 out of 30 for their routine.
“Boy Meets World” star Danielle Fishel was next up with her partner, Pasha Pashkov. The duo danced a cha-cha to “The Rhythm of the Night” by Corona.
Stunning the judges once again, the star improved her scores from last week with a 19 out of 30.
Andy Richter and partner Emma Slater then performed a tango to “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls.
The comedian earned a 16 out of 20 for the routine, which was a massive advancement from week one.
Fifth Harmony star Lauren Jauregui brought grace and elegance to the ballroom with her foxtrot to The Cardigans’ “Lovefool.”
She and partner Brandon Armstrong wowed the judges, scoring a 21 out of 30.
Up next was Olympic gold-medalist Jordan Chiles and her partner, Ezra Sosa, dancing to “Maniac.”
After receiving criticism online for his week one choreography, Sosa seemed to do his big one for this routine, making up for the lack of content in their first dance.
The gymnast earned a 22 out of 30 for her jam-packed jive.
The star who was tied at the bottom of the leaderboard last week, Corey Feldman, took to the floor with partner Jenna Johnson.
Their routine was a cha cha to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot, that earned them a 15 out of 30.
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jen Affleck followed with a quickstep to “Take On Me” by Aha.
She and her partner, Jan Ravnik, improved their scores with a 22 out of 30.
The celebrity who landed at the top of the leaderboard in week one was up next: Robert Irwin with his partner Witney Carson.
Carson’s choreography stunned, once again, in their foxtrot to “Move Your Feet” by Junior Senior, putting them at the top once again with a 22 out of 30.
Elaine Hendrix brought everyone back to highschool with her cheerleader-inspired jive to “Hey Mickey!” by Sweet California.
The actress earned a 21 out of 30 for her upbeat routine with Alan Bersten.
NBA all-star Baron Davis then danced a samba to “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison with his partner Britt Stewart, receiving a score of 18 out of 30.
The other Mormon star, Whiteny Leavitt, brought spice to the ballroom with her funky cha cha to “Play That Funky Music.”
She and partner Mark Ballas earned a 22 out of 30 for their routine, tying them at the top of the leaderboard once again.
Hilaria Baldwin danced next with Gleb Savchenko, performing a tango to “What is Love?” and receiving a 21 out of 30.
The next star to hit the floor, with his partner Daniella Karagach, was Dylan Efron.
The couple danced a samba to “Macarena (Bayside Boys Remix)” and even succeeded in doing samba rolls. They earned a 20 out of 30 for their difficult routine.
To close out the night, Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying danced a cha cha to “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by Eiffel 65 with his partner Rylee Arnold.
They ended the night with a bang, scoring an 18 out of 30.
However, the show’s not over yet; it’s time for the dreadful double elimination.
Hosts Ribeiro and Julianne Hough joined the celebrities on stage to reveal America’s votes, leaving Baron and Britt, Baldwin and Savchenko, and Corey and Jenna vulnerable.
Baldwin was the final celeb to be saved, devastatingly eliminating Davis and Feldman.
