Best PWHL Jerseys
With only six official jerseys in the eight-team league that all follow the same stitching and striping pattern, this battle mostly comes down to the chosen colorways and logos of the teams. Hopefully, in future years, they’ll be allowed to branch out so a true list of the best jerseys can be compiled.
6. Ottawa Charge
The only truly offensive jersey out of the entire PWHL, the colorway was completely botched in a rare misstep by a women’s sports team. Their logo is interesting, but no amount of design success can make up for the bright red and orange colors on the jerseys. Hopefully, they find a way to make the colors of the team more subtle in the future.
5. New York Sirens
These jerseys aren’t necessarily bad; they’re surrounded by incredibly well-designed logos and better colorways. The logo is interesting, but it doesn’t showcase the Siren aspect of the team in a way that would have put it miles above other teams. A mermaid team with not a single scale on their jerseys is a travesty.
4. Toronto Scepters
What puts the Scepters’ jerseys above the Sirens is their white jersey; the way that the royal blue accents stand out on the clean white makes it an instant fan favorite. The logo is very well designed and clearly represents the namesake of the team legibly. They have, however, been accused of stealing the logo from Taylor Swift, which makes the originality of the logo questionable and puts it behind Montreal.
3. Montreal Victoire
Montreal designed the best logo in the league; they just have a boring colorway. The red and the beige work well together and aren’t offensive; they just can’t begin to compete with the colorful choices made by Boston and Minnesota. However, the way they combined the M and the V into their logo using striping puts them above their fellow Canadian team, the Scepters.
2. Boston Fleet
Boston stuck with a clean design that works well on most hockey jerseys, a simple logo supported by a fantastic colorway. The forest green and teal that the Fleet chose as their two main colors are true winners. The star of the show, though, is the logo, which combines the signature Boston B with an anchor that represents the nautical theme of the team.
1. Minnesota Frost
The Frost have won the last two PWHL championships, and they have the best jerseys in the league. It’s hard to say when the Minnesota team will stop winning.
The Frost have a colorway that could potentially make them have the best jersey regardless of their logo with their lavender and dark purple combination, but they also have a fantastic logo. The F that has been designed to look like an icicle is a top-tier design choice and should stay as their logo for a long time.
Until Seattle and Vancouver release their official jerseys and more expansion teams are announced the six PWHL team jerseys have been decisively ranked with a clear gap between the top five and Ottawa.
